Submitted by Josh Burkman in his debut in the World Series of Fighting, former UFC welterweight title challenger Jon Fitch has a new opponent in the organization chaired by New Zealander Ray Sefo. On October 26th, Fitch will face Brazilian Marcelo “Grilo” Alfaya at WSOF 6. The confrontation has not yet been made official, but it is already planned by the event management and was announced by Marcelo on his Facebook page.
Marcelo Grilo, from Rio Grande do Sul, based in Florida (USA), is 34 years old and has a record of 15 wins, six losses and one unsuccessful fight. The Brazilian, who previously played for Bellator, is on a three-fight win streak. Jon Fitch, on the other hand, has a record of 24 wins, six losses, one draw and one fight without result. The American lost his last two fights, to Josh Burkman and Demian Maia – still for the UFC.
WSOF 6 takes place on October 26th, in Coral Gables, Florida (USA). In the main fight of the night, Josh Burkman, Fitch's last tormentor, faces Steve Carl. The Brazilian Marlon moraes It is also part of the event card. Marlon faces American Carson Beebe, in a bantamweight clash.
