Ready for the rematch, Ovince St-Preux intends to break the 'record' of his first fight against Maurício Shogun

After knocking out the Brazilian in just 34 seconds in the first duel, the Haitian surprised by saying he wants to beat him even faster at UFC 274

On the eve of his rematch against Mauritius Shogun, Haitian Ovince St-Preux wants to win the second duel even more categorically, scheduled for the UFC 274. In an interview with 'Combate', the light heavyweight (up to 83,9kg) said that he will win again and revealed that his objective is to beat the 'record' of the knockout in 34 seconds achieved in the previous fight.

“It may be different because I have already faced it. There's a good chance it could be different, but at the end of the day, a fight is a fight. I beat him in 34 seconds, so my goal is to beat him in less than that. If it doesn't work out, it will be three rounds with my hand raised until the end of the night. That’s all that matters,” St-Preux said.

The Haitian revealed what it was like to beat Shogun in Brazil and believes that the Brazilian athlete will come with 'blood in his eyes' to avenge the defeat he suffered in 2014.

“It was crazy. After the knockout you could hear me screaming. My ears were hurting and the entire arena was silent. I only listened to my coach, something that almost never happens. I managed to take the guy down in a way he had never been knocked down before. It was probably one of the situations that bothered him the most and that he wants to return to to finalize what is open. But that’s what happened and no one can erase it”, concluded Ovince.
