Increasingly speculated, including between the two fighters, the duel between Tyson Fury e Francis Ngannou, according to boxing rules, should not come off the drawing board, at least as far as it depends on Dana White's will. In an interview with 'The Pat McAfee Show', the UFC president reinforced his position against the confrontation and classified the fight as 'stupid'.

“They’ve been talking about it and everything. Guys, Fury is the best boxer, one of the greatest boxers of all time. You look at the guys he's beaten and how easily he's beating them. I don't know, let's see how this all plays out. I don't love the crossover fights. I don't love them because they are stupid. It's a huge waste of time, energy and money. It's silly, but I understand. Boxing is a great advantage for Tyson Fury. Ngannou just finished wrestling with Gane. If you know anything about fighting, it's dumb talk,” Dana said vehemently.

Asked why he didn't take the same attitude when the duel between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, the agent justified the previous permission, claiming that the confrontation, before it even took place, transcended 'the limits of the sport'.

“The point is that the fight between McGregor and Mayweather took on a life of its own. Everywhere I went, people were asking me. It got to the point where the fans wanted to see this fight, the media wanted to see this fight and you know me. People are not knocking on our doors for this fight”, concluded the 'boss'.

Rumors of a possible confrontation between Ngannou and Fury grew considerably on April 23, when the Brit beat his compatriot Dillian Whyte with a knockout in the sixth round. With Tyson still in the cage, the Cameroonian climbed into the ring and made the challenge in an 'official' way, which was readily accepted by the heavyweight of the noble art. However, as far as Dana White is concerned, the confrontation will not leave the field of speculation.
