The soap opera involving the alleged aggression of Jorge masvidal a Colby covington in a restaurant in Miami (USA) at the end of March gained a new chapter. The website 'TMZ Sports' released unprecedented images of what the face of the former UFC interim welterweight champion (up to 77kg) would have looked like after the 'ambush' plotted by his rival.

In the images (see below), it is possible to notice apparent lesions on Covington's teeth. The fighter's face also has red spots.

The record is used by Masvidal's defense team, headed by Bradford Cohen. In the process, the lawyer seeks to convince the judging party that the injury in question is damage to an alleged dental prosthesis, used by Colby. The plan is to reject the accusation of possible brain damage, as indicated by the 'Chaos' intercessors.

“Interestingly, the images do not demonstrate an injury, other than a small chip in CC's false tooth (Colby covington). The evidence collected so far clearly contradicts CC's claims. CC alleges that the defendant (Jorge masvidal) hit him from behind. Exclusive footage shows that during the incident, CC was confronting the individual he identified as the defendant. In fact, CC was looking at the defendant head on, before taking the hit. So, he seems to run away from the defendant in fear”, wrote Masvidal's lawyer, in the medical records document, with an excerpt published by 'Combate'.

In recent days, the case involving UFC stars has been in the news again after the 'ESPN' revealed that Colby could have suffered a brain injury as a result of Masvidal's alleged attacks. In court, a restriction order was authorized for Jorge to remain more than seven meters away from his rival.

In addition to the alleged physical injuries, Covington's defense accuses Jorge of damaging a watch from the traditional 'Rolex' brand, valued at more than R$400. Masvidal's team, in turn, works with the argument that the object may be a replica, deviating from the value of the original article.

Understand Covington and Masvidal's troubled relationship

The confusion involving 'Jesus das Ruas' and 'Chaos' began even before the athletes shared the octagon in the UFC 272. A few years ago, the fighters treated each other like 'best friends', being training partners on 'American Top Team' and even moving in together.

The relationship was broken after Covington ended up leaving the gym, alleging that he did not maintain a good relationship with his teammates. Months later, Colby and Masvidal would face each other.

In the fight, Jorge ended up getting the better of him. Famous for his aggression, the veteran was unable to contain his former friend's high-level wrestling and was largely controlled for 25 minutes of confrontation. After five rounds, Covington was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.

After the clash, Colby didn't give up on provoking his opponent. Several 'attacks' on social media, including Jorge's family, would have motivated Masvidal's 'revolt', resulting in the attack in the restaurant.
