Patrício Pitbull runs over Diego Nunes and advances in the Bellator GP

The Potiguar Patrick Pitbull is in the semifinals of the Bellator featherweight GP. In the 99th edition of the show, held on Friday night (13), he defeated his compatriot Diego Nunes, a former UFC athlete, in an overwhelming way by knockout in just over a minute of the fight.

As soon as the bell sounded, the fighters aggressively pursued the fight. Pitbull landed the first blows, which were responded to with a sequence of kicks from Diego. However, when trying to apply a rotating blow, Nunes slipped and Pitbull closed the distance to end the fight. With a left cross combination, followed by two more punches with his opponent already on the ground, Pitbull achieved victory and was the first man to knock out his compatriot.

In addition to Pitbull and Diego Nunes, Bellator 99 had another Brazilian in action. Fabrício Guerreiro beat Desmond Green in a unanimous decision by the judges and also advanced in the featherweight tournament bracket.
