Defeated in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 53, held this Saturday (30), Rob font will carry with him, for days, the marks of his battle against Marlon Vera. Defeated by the Ecuadorian in a unanimous decision by the judges, the athlete left the Octagon with his face disfigured. For five rounds, the American was the victim of his rival's precise attacks.

Famous for his sharp boxing, Font was unable to stop Marlon's attacks. In three of the five rounds, the fighter came close to being knocked out, but was surprised by his resistance.
With the defeat, Rob will possibly lose fifth place to his opponent. The stumble also marked the second consecutive defeat for the North American, who was coming from a setback against José Aldo.
At a great stage in her career, Vera had a gala performance. The fighter reached the mark of three consecutive victories.
The triumph against Font should place the Ecuadorian in the top 5. With this, the fighter will now have a closer look at a future title fight.
