UFC plans fight between Travis Browne and Stipe Miocic for the end of the year

Duel has not yet been made official; UFC on FOX 9 and UFC 168 could host the fight

The duel between two fighters on the rise in the heavyweight category is very close to being confirmed for the month of December. According to “UFC Tonight”, the organization's official newspaper, Ultimate plans to promote a fight between Travis Browne and Stipe Miocic. The confrontation has not yet been made official, but it should take place at UFC on FOX 9 or UFC 168.

Hawaiian Travis Browne, 31, has a record of 15 wins, one loss and one fight without result. Browne is coming off a victory over alistair overeem and Gabriel “Napão” Gonzaga. Stipe Miocic has a similar record, with just one defeat and ten wins. The North American is coming off a victory over the “chubby” Roy Nelson.

UFC on FOX 9 takes place on December 14th, in Sacramento (USA). The event should feature a lightweight belt dispute between Anthony Pettis and TJ Grant as the main duel. UFC 168 takes place on the 28th of the same month, in Las Vegas. Fight night will be the stage for the long-awaited rematch between Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman, for the middleweight title.
