Member of the top-5 in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg), Rob font admitted that the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 53, it wasn't his 'dream match'. On the 'media day' of the show that will take place next Saturday (30), the North American was sincere in revealing that Marlon Vera He wasn't an opponent who was on his radar but he promised to defeat him by submission.

“He wasn’t a guy that was on my radar. It wasn't a fight I was super excited about, but coming off a defeat, I couldn't say no. It's not a fight that makes me vibrate, but it's a tough fight. It's a main fight, it gives me more exposure and earns me more pay. I'm happy with her. It’s not the fight I wanted, but it’s good to be back,” said Font.

Even without showing excitement about the duel, Rob showed respect for his opponent's experience and talent, however, he promised to beat him by submission.

“I think it will be a battle between two young killers. He will try to take my head and I will try to take his. He's been in this sport for a while now, he has a lot of experience. It's going to be a big battle, another main fight. It won't be easy, but I think I'll have my hand raised in the end. I believe I will finish it. Number five in the bantamweight rankings, Font had his streak of four consecutive victories broken last December, when he was defeated by the legend José Aldo. The North American has a record of 19 triumphs and five setbacks in professional MMA.
