The 2022 PFL season could not have started better for Renan Problem. The Brazilian heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) took no notice of Jamelle Jones and ran over the North American with a knockout 25 seconds into the first round.
With the lightning knockout, Renan Problem takes the lead in the division with six points alongside Russian Denis Goltsov. The Brazilian continues without losing in the PFL decagon, with three victories and one fight without result in the organization.
Semifinalist in 2021, when he was defeated by Bruno Cappelozza, Jamelle Jones loses second consecutive PFL. The North American hasn't won since his debut at the event in June last year.
THE FIGHT
Much taller than Jamelle Jones, Renan Problem began the fight dominating the center of the decagon. Less than 30 seconds into the fight, the Brazilian launched a high kick into the void, but then managed to land his shin on the North American's face, who immediately fell to the canvas. Renan then continued striking with “ground and pound” until the referee interrupted.

Semi-finalist of the heavyweight tournament in 2021, Denis Goltsov showed that he is hungry for victory in his debut in the new PFL season. The Russian took no notice of Cody Goodale, “massacred” his opponent and won by technical knockout in the first round.
With the result, Denis Goltsov takes the lead in the heavyweight tournament, with six points won, surpassing his tormentor in the 2021 semi-final, Before Delija, who had gained five points in the duel against Brazilian Matheus Buffa in the same event. The Russian now has a record of 28 wins and seven losses.
On the other hand, Cody Goodale made a bad debut in the PFL. The 32-year-old American left the fight with a record of eight wins and six losses.
