In a good phase with two consecutive victories, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.) Dominick Cruz expressed interest in a rematch against Henry Cejudo, who is preparing to return to the UFC Octagon. The American stated that he wants to measure his strength against athletes at the top of the division and is happy to be able to train without his old injury problems getting in the way again.

“Give me the rematch with Cejudo when he comes back. I don't mind. I want to be the first person he faces when he comes back. I don't have any problems with him and I'm ready this year because I've been training non-stop. I just want to face someone who is above me in the category and not below”, said Cruz, in an interview with 'The Schmo'.

In the first fight between Henry Cejudo e Dominick Cruz, which took place in May 2020, 'Triplo C' managed a knockout with a knee in the second round of the confrontation and, shortly afterwards, 'hung up' his gloves for the UFC bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg).
