Kamaru Usman and Canelo Alvarez clash on social media after businessman's provocation

Considered by many, respectively, to be the best in the world in MMA and boxing, the Nigerian and the Mexican exchanged provocations

Even though at the moment there is a super fight between Kamaru Usman e Canelo Alvarez placeholder image seems like a distant idea, the duel of words between the two began a long time ago and gained a new chapter this Wednesday (27). Considered by many to be the best pound for pound in MMA and boxing, respectively, the Nigerian and the Mexican argued on social media.

It all started with a publication by Ali Abdelaziz, Usman's manager, aimed at Canelo Alvarez placeholder image. The agent criticized the level of competition faced by the Mexican.

“Canelo is absolutely a chicken. He's up against guys with 5.000 Instagram followers. These guys will never do anything for his legacy. Now I understand why he doesn't want to lose to someone like Usman. This is the chicken style: no risk, no reward”, attacked Abdelaziz.

Canelo was short in his response, stating that he did not know Abdelaziz.

After yet another attack by Abdelaziz, it was time for Kamaru Usman enter the discussion.

“Let's all relax...before someone gets hurt,” wrote the UFC welterweight champion (up to 77 kg).

Once again concise, Canelo Alvarez placeholder image he responded to the Nigerian using few words.

“I agree, because it won’t be me”, replied the Mexican.

Kamaru Usman then took the opportunity to challenge the Mexican boxer to a duel “in the cage or in the ring”.

Canelo Alvarez placeholder image repeated his recent speech, stating that Usman needs to wait his turn and that he intends to build a legacy in the noble art before the possible challenge.

“You're challenging me, right? You want the money, right? So you know where, but wait seated because it's not your turn yet. I have a legacy to build”, said the Mexican.

The final word came from Usman, who accused Canelo of running away from the challenge and wished the Mexican good luck.

“That was enough…you don’t want that smoke in a real fight. I understood you! Good luck, champion”, concluded the Nigerian.
