In the early hours of Monday (9), American fighter Matt Grice, 32, was involved in a serious car accident in Oklahoma City (USA). Grice, who was scheduled for UFC 166, was taken to the hospital and remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in serious condition.

According to information from the television channel “OKC News 9”, Matt Grice's car was hit from behind while he was stopped at a traffic light. The athlete was diagnosed with brain damage and although his vital signs are stable, his condition is still critical.

So far, the Ultimate organization has not yet officially commented on what happened. However, the most likely thing is that Matt Grice will be replaced in his fight against Jeremy Larsen, scheduled for UFC 166, in just over a month.

    So far I don't see a fighter who can beat J.Jones. Perhaps Vitor Belfort is the most likely candidate to win with J.Jones

    Jeremy Larsen was beaten badly by Lucas Mineiro at the UFC in Jaraguá do Sul, with several hammer blows to the head when he lost by TKO.
