The best-known cutman – responsible for taking care of athletes' injuries and bandages – in the world, Jacob Duran was in Brazil this week to take care of athletes during UFC Fight Night 28, an event held in Belo Horizonte. On that occasion, “Stitch”, as he is known, had a meeting with dentist Renata Takatu, creator and member of Cutwomen Knockdown, a team made up of women who work in this role in Brazil.
At the meeting, Duran was able to learn more about the form of service, the safety protocols developed and the materials used by the Team, also made up of dentists Mackenna Campos Silvia Oki.
At the end of the meeting, Stitch praised the dentists' work. “They are doing a lot for the sport in Brazil and will change the history of MMA and other sports across the country,” he said.
