Black belt David Viera will have the opportunity to avenge the defeat he suffered against Viscardi Andrade in the quarterfinals of TUF Brasil 2. However, in a submission tournament (no-gi jiu-jitsu). The clash is on the card of the Standout Fighting Tournament, an event that takes place on September 20th, at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in São Paulo.
In the main fight of the night, already under MMA rules, Luiz “Banha” Cané seeks new opportunities for his career after a stint in the UFC against North American Rodney Wallace, who also has a stint in the event on his record.
“We want to offer the Brazilian public what they really want to see, which are high quality fights and good entertainment. I worked hard on the card and I'm sure the fans will leave Ibirapuera very satisfied on the 20th”, says Ivan Jatobá, responsible for the event's fight match.
The young promises of Brazilian MMA are also present on the SFT card. Diogo Cavalcante, owner of a record with six fights and five wins, faces Carlos Prates, which also only causes a setback in his career. With an impressive 13 victories in 13 fights, Thomas almeida is also on the card, but is still waiting for an opponent.
