UFC president, Dana White, has given numerous interviews stating that Ultimate will expand its horizons in 2009. New cities for the event are in the top hat's plans.

After the UFC failed to legalize MMA in the state of New York in 2008, the director is optimistic that the release will take place at the beginning of 2009.
