Fight between Sonnen and Evans confirmed for UFC 20th anniversary event

The loudmouth asked and was answered. Chael Sonnen will face Rashad evans at UFC 167, an event that marks the 20th anniversary of the main MMA organization on the planet, in November. Last week, Sonnen had announced in his Twitter an image of a fake poster from the fight night, with the inclusion of his fight against the former light heavyweight champion.

“Rashad, let me ask you a question… Will you be busy on November 16th?”, wrote Sonnen at the time, in a message directed to his rival. When answered by Evans, who asked 'what was the best date', the American continued. “I'll give you a suggestion”, he said, publishing together the image of the photomontage of the poster.

UFC 167 takes place on November 16th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, the welterweight champion Georges St Pierre face the challenger John hendricks. In addition to this confrontation and the fight between Sonnen and Evans, two other fights have already been announced for the event: Rory McDonald vs Robbie Lawler e Tyron woodley vs Josh koscheck.
