Middleweight promise (up to 83,9kg.), Caio Borralho debuted on UFC Las Vegas 51, an event held this Saturday (16), with a 'bitter taste'. In the second most important fight of the night, the Brazilian dominated the fight against Gadzhi Omargadzhiev with extensive control and technical quality, but an illegal knee in the third round almost ruined everything. Even so, as the fight was already in the final stretch, the judges decided to declare a victory via the judges' technical decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

The fight

After starting with study, Omargadzhiev blocked a shot from Borralho and managed a takedown, but saw the Brazilian stay on top after a reversal. Caio even got up, but returned to the ground and, after good elbows, grabbed the Russian's back, where he stayed until the end of the first round.

PUBLICITY:

In the opening minute of the round, Caio threw a flying knee that made Gadzhi feel it. Willing to give a quick response, Omargadzhiev went all out, but fell alone and let the Brazilian get to his back. In a dominant position, he 'closed the lock', but was unable to adjust his grip to finish.

Willing to go for 'all or nothing', Omargadzhiev delivered a high kick that exploded in Borralho's face, who absorbed the blow well. He tried a footlock, but Caio got out of the position well. The Brazilian then applied an illegal knee to three of the Russian's supports. After a medical consultation, Gadzhi did not return to combat and lost the fight.
