Sneered. Overcome by Patrick Pitbull in historic revenge in Bellator 277, A. J. McKee does not recognize the Brazilian's title, but rules out a rematch at featherweight (up to 65,7kg). In a press conference after the show this Friday (15), the North American says he is open to a trilogy with the champion, but only in the lightweight category (up to 70,3kg).

“I ended my participation in featherweight. I want a rematch at lightweight. There are super fights to be had. I've been at featherweight for a long time, cutting a lot of weight. People wouldn't like to see what happens in the (weight cutting) process. It's a lot of work for me, my team, my family. Let's do the rematch at lightweight. Why not? Faster, stronger, bigger. Come and release this beast”, he concluded.

Considered the greatest jewel ever revealed by Bellator, McKee was unsuccessful in his first title defense. In addition to being overcome by Patrício in a balanced five-round confrontation, the American ended up losing his unbeaten record in his career.

Considered by many to be the biggest name in the history of the organization, Patrício lived up to his reputation as the 'king of rematches'. The Brazilian has never been surpassed in a second meeting with opponents.
