Featherweight Júnior Assunção returns to fight in Brazil. After his time in the UFC, the fighter faces Guilherme Faria in the second edition of the Premium Fight Championship, an event that takes place on September 13th, in Campinas.
“I'm very happy with this opportunity that Premium Fight is giving me. It's been a while since I performed in Brazil. I will fight against a very tough opponent, who stands to gain from this is the public who will be able to watch a very competitive fight”, he stated.
After almost a year and nine months since his last fight against Ross Pearson at UFC 141, in December 2011, he talked about his preparatory process to return to competition. “I live between Brazil and the United States. I did part of my camp in Atlanta and now I'm in Vitória to finish the training. I stay in Brazil until the fight date, then I go back to help my brother (Raphael Assunção) for his next UFC fight on October 9th,” he added.
