It's not new that fans and even fighters imagine and ask for duels involving athletes from different organizations, especially UFC and Bellator. The idea, however, never went beyond the realm of utopia, at least as far as the interest of Ultimate is concerned.

Last Tuesday (12), during a press conference at the Bellator 277, this Friday's event (15), the organization's president, Scott Coker, once again said that it is up to Dana White and his company to turn many fans' dreams into reality.

“It really depends on them. It's not really part of their business model, but if they want it, we're here. I'm telling you, we have the best featherweights, the best bantamweights, the best light heavyweights and we also have Gegard Mousasi, which is the best middleweight. We have a formidable cast. Don't underestimate them, because these guys are killers. If they want it, let's do it. But like I said, it hasn’t been their business model,” Coker said.

Bellator is no stranger to duels involving other organizations, having already held events together with Rizin and GLORY. On the other hand, the closest the UFC has come in terms of working with another organization in the modern era of MMA was the trade between Ben Askren for Demetrious Johnson with ONE Championship.
