Present at the confrontation that ends the show, the Brazilian explained the reasons that motivated him to accept the challenge of facing the number five in the welterweight rankings (up to 77kg.). In an interview with 'BJPenn.com', the combatant valued the rematch.

“I’m excited to face Belal. I think it's a great fight. We are both in the top 5 and have a winning streak, so the fight makes sense,” said Luque.
In a repeat of a clash held in 2016, in which the Brazilian came out on top with a knockout in the first round, Vicente believes he will not have an easy life. The athlete then analyzed what he expects for his reunion with Muhammad.
“It will be an important fight for the category. Even if it's a rematch, it's hard to downplay it. It was a last-minute fight, so I didn't have specific training, and, in the same way, Belal didn't know he was going to face me until two weeks before the fight. We both know I have the strength to knock him out if I land a blow, but it's a big if. He will try his best to stop me from connecting my best attack,” he concluded.
In a great moment in the division, Luque currently occupies fifth place in the welterweight division, having won four consecutive victories. Muhammad comes next, in sixth, and has seven fights without losing.
