“If we find his team, we will kill all its members now, not on Saturday”, threatened the Russian athlete.

Shortly after the threat, Sterling criticized the interim champion's attitude, but insisted that he will not run away from the clash, if there is the feared meeting.

"I did not see him. I honestly kind of want to see it just to see what would happen. I'm calm, cool, collected, so I want to see the energy he's going to bring. If he thinks it's going to happen, I'm ready. I'm more than ready. I'm ready now and I'll be ready on Saturday. If you really want to do something, I'm here. I'm in the same hotel as you. You can find me. If you want, I can give you my room number,” Sterling replied.

After the controversial outcome in the first duel, Sterling and Yan, now interim champions, will meet in the main fight of the UFC 273 for the long-awaited reckoning. The show will be held at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, in Jacksonville, Florida (USA).
