“I have a lot of respect for (José) Aldo, because being champion for a long time, like he was, is incredible. It doesn't matter if I beat guys like him and Holloway. I'm fighting great 'assassins', but it's a nightmare to think about having a bad day on the day I defend the belt. And for Aldo to be champion for a long time means something. I think I need so many defenses? No. I think I'm the greatest? I'm not going to say that yet. I will continue working towards this. If people want to say it, no problem. But I think I still have work to do”, analyzed Volkanovski in 'half day'.

His record now has 23 positive results – including other important names, such as Max Holloway (2x) and Chad Mendes- and only one negative.
