Without opponents in the middleweight division, the Ultimate highlight ignores the possibility of testing in the under-93kg category

Brazilian UFC middleweight star, Paulo borrachinha is more than certain that he does not intend to leave his current division, not even for an isolated test. No opponents in the group led by Israel adesanya, the Minas Gerais native rules out any possibility of appearing in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.). “Zero chances (of fighting at light heavyweight). I'll fight at middleweight. I've been dieting for two months, no wonder. It's a huge sacrifice. I have to live on a diet. Do you know what it's like to live with 5% fat weighing 957kg? It's training and eating right. I can't eat anything fried. It's cooked. I diet to lose 84kg, with sacrifice. I never stopped making weight. I had an injury (before facing Marvin vettori, in 2021) and I didn’t make the weight. (…) It’s not a normal thing (to lose weight). I hit the weight, I need the time. I'm on a diet, training, close to the weight I should be. I think about fighting in a month and a half. The only thing missing is the opponent”, said Paulo, in an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS.
