O Jungle Fight There's a new champion. Mário Israel defeated Reginaldo Vieira by knockout in the second round and won the bantamweight belt (up to 61 kg.) on the show. The clash was the main attraction of the Jungle Fight 54, event held this Saturday (24), in Foz do Iguaçu.
In the fight, the one who started the best was Reginaldo Viera. She landed a guillotine choke in the first round and almost ended the fight. However, in the second half Mário Israel came ready to end the fight. With a straight right, Reginaldo took his rival to the ground and ended the contest in a sensational way. With the result, the Manaus fighter scores his ninth MMA victory and remains undefeated in his career.
Among the other nine fights at the event, only one went to the decision. There were five knockouts and four submissions, with emphasis on the Latin duel in the co-main fight. Mexican Ivan “Niño Demoledor” submitted Paraguayan Tulio Benegas in the first round with a beautiful rear naked choke.
