In this first edition, three names were chosen as highlights of the month. Below, we will recall the context and development of the confrontations until the categorical outcomes.

Paddy Pimblett x Rodrigo Vargas – UFC London

Called by many 'New Conor McGregor’, Paddy Pimblett will open the list. Hired by the UFC to shake up the dangerous lightweight category (up to 70,3kg), the Englishman exudes charisma and generated engagement from fans of the sport.

After shining in his debut with the company, at the end of 2021, Pimblett returned to the Octagon and was able to perform in front of his fans. Featured in UFC London, Paddy was the sensation of the card, he didn't disappoint, but he scared some of the spectators.

A star on the main card, the Englishman struggled in the opening seconds of the fight, victim of powerful attacks applied by Vargas. The 'New McGregor', however, showed cold blood and achieved a comeback that sent the public into a frenzy. After coming close to being knocked out, the promise used his high-level jiu-jitsu to reverse the situation and submitted Rodrigo with a rear-naked choke in the first stage.

Paul Craig x Nikita Krylov – UFC London

More twists? We have. Still in UFC London, this time on the preliminary card, Paul Craig 'pulled a rabbit out of the hat' and had a great moment in the first half of the show.

In a great phase in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg), the Scotsman was looking to extend his good momentum against Nikita Krylov, who tried to stabilize himself in the group led by Glover Teixeira. The match ended up presenting a clash of styles.

More aggressive, Krylov went after him right at the beginning of the fight. In the search for the knockout, the fighter managed to take down Paul and tried to punish him in the ground and pound. In jiu-jitsu, Craig protected himself and looked for an opening to respond to his rival's attacks. After seeing an opportunity, the Scotsman didn't waste it and created a triangle that forced the Ukrainian to give up.

Muhammad Mokaev vs. Cody Durden – UFC London

Marked by knockouts and submissions, the UFC London also presented the third and final one on the March list. Ending the note, but not least, Muhammad Mokayev is a flyweight promise (up to 56,7kg) who arrived with his 'foot in the door' in Ultimate.

At just 21 years old and undefeated in his career in MMA – both amateur and professional –, the fighter had cody durden as the first opponent. Even at his young age, the Russian showed personality and didn't give a more experienced opponent a chance.

Inserted in the division led by Deiveson Figueiredo, Muhammad didn't need long to shake up the fans and get his first performance bonus in the company. In total, the fighter needed 58 seconds to apply a guillotine choke to his opponent and force his rival to tap out.
