UFC 167 added another important welterweight fight. The former challenger Josh koscheck returns to the octagon against Tyron woodley, former Strikeforce challenger.

Koscheck hasn't played since February, when he suffered a violent knockout against Robbie Lawler, at UFC 157. This was the second consecutive defeat for “Kos”, who had been overcome by John hendricks in May 2012. Koscheck hasn't won since February last year and had to give up facing Demian Maia at UFC Rio 4 due to an injury.

Woodley also needs to recover from the loss. He was beaten by Jake Shields in a close fight during UFC 161. This was the second defeat in the last three fights. In July 2012, T-Wood had been knocked out by Nate Marquardt in the Strikeforce title fight. In the middle of the two defeats, a lightning knockout over Jay Hieron in his UFC debut last February.

UFC 167 will be held on November 16th in Las Vegas. In addition to Koscheck-Woodley, two other important duels in the welterweight category will take place on this card. In the main fight, Georges St Pierre defends his belt against Hendricks. The other fight involves Rory McDonald and Lawler.
