Keeping an eye on future UFC promises, Henry Cejudo is not entirely convinced by two athletes treated as pupils of the organization. Retired since 2020, the company's former double champion confessed to not having been convinced by Sean O'Malley e Paddy Pimblett, would-be Ultimate stars. In an interview with 'The Schmo', the 'Triple C' explained his position.

“If you ask me, I think they still need to prove themselves. I think Sean has more talent, but Paddy, the 'pimple guy', has more courage. If the two were a mix of each other, it would be the perfect combination,” said Henry.

Cejudo's analyzes did not stop there. Still keeping an eye on the future of the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg) and the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg), the champion continued.

“Sean needs more courage, more ability to deal with pain. Paddy needs technique, to improve his punches. He looks like a struggling forest boy. When you talk about stars, he only talks about popularity. (…) As a fighter, I look at all angles. You can entertain, but can you actually fight? You can face the best, prove me wrong in a match I think you will lose. When I watch this, then yes, it will have the respect of 'Triple C'. At the moment, they are both just characters to me”, he concluded.

Current bantamweight number 13, O'Malley has eight appearances for the UFC. In the company since 2017, the North American has seven wins and one stumble.

Called by many 'New Conor McGregor’, Paddy Pimblett made his second commitment to Ultimate on the 19th. After a brilliant debut at the end of last season, the lightweight once again surprised by finishing Rodrigo vargas in the first round, maintaining 100% success in the company.
