Bare Knuckle FC Middleweight Champion since June 2021, Thiago Pitbull negotiates his first title defense. According to the Brazilian's representative, Ali Abdelaziz, the veteran is willing to face the former UFC fighter, Mike Perry, in a confrontation for the throne of the category. The information was released by 'BJPenn.com'.

Former challenger for the UFC welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) in 2009, when he was surpassed by Georges St-Pierre, Pitbull ended his relationship with Ultimate in 2019. Free to settle with another organization, the athlete chose to join test in 'bare-knuckle boxing', and debuted for BKFC in 2020.
In his first challenge at Bare Knuckle, Thiago had a tough fight, but overcame Julian Lane in a split decision from the judges. With the triumph, the Brazilian qualified to compete for the inaugural middleweight belt against Ulysses Diaz. In the fight for the title, almost a year ago, the Ceará native made history and assumed the throne, winning due to medical interruption.
Former UFC welterweight promise, Mike Perry made his first challenge at BKFC in February 2022. Like Pitbull, the American had Julian Lane as his opponent, and won by unanimous decision from the judges.
After overcoming his rival, the former Ultimate had already expressed his desire to face Thiago for the Bare Knuckle FC belt.
