Among all the men who fought on the card, Kai Kara France was the only one to gain positions in the ranking. Previously ranked sixth in the flyweight division, the New Zealander surprised, surpassing the then undefeated Askar askarov in the unanimous decision of the judges (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) and, as a bonus, “stole” the second position in the division, which was occupied by the Russian. As a result, Kara-France finds itself second only to the champion Deiveson Figueiredo and the former champion Brandon Moreno, who must face each other for the fourth consecutive time, worth the category title.
