The important confrontation between Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakić has a new date to happen. Now, the light heavyweight fighters (93 kg) will face each other in an event that the UFC plans to hold on May 14, in Las Vegas (USA), in a five-round fight. The information was released by journalist Ariel Helwani.

Originally, the duel between Blachowicz and Rakić was scheduled to take place last Saturday (26), at ufc columbus. However, the former champion suffered a neck injury and was unable to continue starring on the card.
An MMA veteran, Blachowicz will have his first fight since losing the division title to Glover Teixeira. With Rakic in line for a title shot, a victory could see the Pole regain his belt status.
Unlike Jan, Aleksandar is having a good time with the Ultimate gloves. Today, the athlete has two consecutive victories and has not lost since December 2019, when he was beaten by Volkan oezdemir.
Today, Blachowicz is in first place in the rankings, behind only Teixeira, the champion. Rakic is in third place and, if he beats the former owner of the belt, he could guarantee his dream fight for the throne.
