Manon Fiorot says she is ready to dethrone Valentina Shevchenko, but asks for one more fight

Seen as one of the most promising names in women's MMA, Manon Fiorot believes she is ready to dethrone the champion Valentina Shevchenko in a possible fight for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg). The 32-year-old Frenchwoman surpassed the Brazilian Jennifer maia in the unanimous decision of the judges in a duel held at ufc columbus, last Saturday (26).

In a press conference held after the event, Fiorot, who has not lost a fight since his professional MMA debut in 2018, assured that he feels ready to dethrone Valentina Shevchenko, but who prefers to have one more fight before a possible title fight.

“I'm pretty sure I could beat her (Valentina Shevchenko) now. But, to be more sure and to be more relaxed, I want to win but one fight to feel at home in the UFC Octagon”, said the Frenchwoman.

After the victory over Jennifer maia, Manon Fiorot quote Katlyn chookagian, second in the division rankings, as the ideal opponent for their next exhibition.

“I think the marriage with Chookagian is good because we will see who is the best striker in the division. After that, why not go after the title?”, said the fighter.

If you really want to measure forces with Katlyn chookagian, Manon Fiorot will have to wait a few months. The Australian has a fight scheduled against the Brazilian Amanda ribas on the 14th of May.
