Considered one of the greatest highlights of Ultimate today, the Englishman Paddy Pimblett has been compared to the former champion Conor McGregor since the beginning of his career in MMA. However, there are those who do not agree with this comparison, the former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub dismissed the similarity between the two fighters and explained the reasons for their disagreement.

“You know, he (Paddy Pimblett) is reached. He gets hit. That makes it more exciting, but if you were to name something negative about him, it's two UFC fights where he got hit. It scares you a little if you're going to compare it to Conor McGregor, obviously your position is not as good and not as clear as that of Conor McGregor. Conor really wasn't getting hit. But how do you get hit? I think it's the style, I think it's an experience, he's excited. This can be a problem, but I'm sure your team is noticing the same thing,” Schaub said.
Hired by the UFC in 2021, Pimblett won his two fights so far, against the Brazilian Luigi Vendramini and the Mexican Rodrigo vargas, both in the first round. Former Cage Wars champion, the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) has a record of 18 triumphs and three setbacks in professional MMA.
