Amanda Nunes x Cris Cyborg

PUBLICITY:

Surrounded by expectation, for putting two of the best MMA representatives of all time face to face, the confrontation between Amanda nunes e Chris Cyborg It ended tragically for a sporting legend. One of the most feared women in the history of mixed martial arts, the Curitiba native, then UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg), ended up losing her throne in a notable way in the organization.

In the confrontation, Cyborg had little time to put his game into practice against Amanda. Aggressive, the Bahian was unaware of her compatriot's talent and drove her fans crazy by knocking out Cris in just 51 seconds of battle. The feat elevated Pojucana's name even further and expanded the athlete's legacy, who became the first double Ultimate champion.

Amanda Nunes x Ronda Rousey

The year was 2016 and Amanda nunes had just been crowned bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.) by beating Miesha Tate. With morale in the organization, the Bahian woman didn't take long to find out who would be her first challenger to the throne, and her opponent would be a legend: Ronda Rousey. One of those largely responsible for the dissemination of women's MMA, the North American, however, did not imagine that the end of her career would be declared when she faced the Brazilian.

The confrontation against Ronda, former owner of the belt in the under-61,2kg group, was scheduled for UFC 207. Facing the Bahian, however, the organization's first champion learned, fatally, the power of the Pojucana's hands. In the fight, Rousey barely touched the Brazilian. Precise and aggressive, Nunes made it easy to massacre the former champion, knocking the legend out on her feet and shocking the show's spectators.

Jessica Bate-Estaca x Rose Namajunas

Surrounded by distrust, for facing one of the best athletes in the history of strawweight (up to 52,1kg.), Jessica Andrade, 'Bate-Estaca', fought against the odds and shocked the world when she faced the division champion, Rose namajunas. The spectators of UFC 237 followed the 'tragic fall' of the American in one of the most brutal outcomes in title fights.

Famous for her excellent boxing, Namajunas had an advantage in the confrontation against Jessica, making use of her greater stature and experience in facing opponents from the Ultimate's elite. The North American, however, ended up making a serious mistake, by 'ignoring' the brute strength that marks the Brazilian's trajectory in MMA. After a first round of 'reconnaissance', the Brazilian lived up to her nickname and, upon clinging to the then champion, applied a 'pile-driver' that caused her opponent to fall in a frightening way and immediately disappear. With the achievement, the Paraná native would reach the absolute top of the 52,1kg division.

Ronda Rousey vs Bethe Pitbull

First Brazilian to fight for the Ultimate bantamweight belt, Bethe Correia, the 'Pitbull', ended up having his plans frustrated when he ran into a Ronda Rousey at its peak. After much provocation on the part of the Brazilian in the promotion of the confrontation that headlined UFC 190, held in Rio de Janeiro, the Tupiniquim had no chance against the then champion of the category.

Famous for her boxing, Bethe was unsuccessful in putting her strategy into play against the North American, who had judo as her 'flagship'. To win, Rousey needed just 34 seconds and, to the surprise of many, she defeated Pitbull precisely in her area: striking. With a tough knockout in the first round, Ronda would achieve what marked her last victory as a professional in MMA.

Holly Holm x Ronda Rousey

One of the most emblematic knockouts in the history of MMA was carried out by Holly holm in the fateful UFC 193, held in 2015. An underdog in the bookmakers, the former world boxing champion faced Ronda Rousey, who reigned supreme in the Ultimate bantamweight division since 2013.

In the confrontation, Holly showed off her striking and managed to nullify Ronda from start to finish. What few imagined would be the remarkable outcome of the confrontation. After shaking the belt owner with a straight shot, Holm managed to land her trademark: with a high kick, which exploded on the legend's head, the 'Shepherd's Daughter' shocked the world by causing her rival to fall unconscious and, assuming, thus, the throne of the category up to 61,2kg.

Valentina Shevchenko x Jessica Eye

On the way to becoming an Ultimate legend, Valentina Shevchenko couldn't be left out of the list. The biggest flyweight (up to 56,7kg) in the history of women's MMA, the Kyrgyzstani, famous for her versatility, has an impressive finish to her resume. The topic will value her massacre in front of Jessica Eye, a challenger who succumbed to the champion's talent in historic fashion.

The confrontation took place in UFC 238 and Shevchenko was promoting his first attempt to defend his throne. Facing Eye, who qualified to fight for the belt after three consecutive victories, Valentina proved to be a versatile and merciless champion. The fighter's victory came brutally in the second round, when, with a high kick, which exploded on her opponent's head, the challenger collapsed unconscious. The triumph began the fighter's legacy as leader of the flyweight absolute, which continues to this day, with six title retentions.
