The heavy weight Fabricio Werdum He has been undefeated since returning to the UFC in 2012. With three wins in three fights, the gaucho believes he deserves the next opportunity to fight for the division's belt. The information was revealed in this Tuesday's edition of the weekly UFC Tonight program, on the North American channel FUEL TV. Werdum's desire is to face the winner of the main fight of UFC 166 in his next commitment, which will be contested between the champion Cain Velazquez and the current number one challenger Junior Gypsy.
If Cigano wins the fight, the UFC could take advantage of the past between him and Werdum. The two already faced each other in 2008, at UFC 90. The occasion marked Cigano's debut in the organization. The Santa Catarina native won by knockout in less than a minute and a half. Werdum, who was left without a contract, was unable to renew his terms and left the UFC for Strikeforce.
