“Unfortunately, he is very upset, we were unable to take his statement with much discernment. I already know that he has psychological problems. He even seems to be altered by the use of strong medications that he apparently takes”, says Braga.

The police chief says he received a call from the lawyer at a psychological treatment clinic, located in the interior of São Paulo, to inform him that Gracie is undergoing treatment there.

Braga said that the treatment, if proven, does not change the situation of his arrest. According to the delegate, he will be charged with robbery and attempted robbery. Gracie already has three police convictions for assault.

According to witnesses, when stealing the Corolla, Gracie attacked the owner of the vehicle with a kitchen knife, cutting off a finger on the victim's left hand. With the car, Gracie drove for a short time and crashed. Then he tried to steal a motorcycle.

When he approached the motorcycle courier, Gracie allegedly showed a knife and said it was a robbery. “Get off the bike, otherwise I’ll kill you,” Gracie reportedly said. The biker picked up the package he would take to Cotia (Greater São Paulo), while Gracie got on the motorcycle without being able to start it.

Other motorcycle couriers stopped at the traffic lights and encouraged the victim not to let Gracie take the vehicle. The owner of the motorcycle stated that he hit Gracie's head with his helmet, who fell and was immobilized by the group of motorcyclists.

PUBLICITY:

“I believe he really is under the influence of drugs, because if he had been sane, he would have knocked everyone down. he is very strong”, said the delegate.

Rodrigo Souto, Ryan Gracie's lawyer, said he was unaware of any treatment of his client. Souto claims he was being chased and did not commit any crime.
