Raphael Assunção faces TJ Dillashaw at UFC Fight Night 29 in Brazil

A fight between two fighters top-10 in the bantamweight category, he will be one of the main attractions of UFC Fight Night 29, possibly in Barueri (SP). According to the website of the “Combate” channel, Raphael Assunção will face the North American TJ Dillashaw at the event on October 9th. The fight had already been speculated on at Ultimate in Belo Horizonte, on September 4th, but ended up being postponed due to an injury to the Brazilian.

Currently, Raphael is sixth in the Ultimate bantamweight rankings and Dillashaw appears in tenth in the same list. A triumph for either side would bring the winner closer to a fight for the division title, which remains quite confusing – with Renan Barao as interim champion in the face of a series of injuries Dominick Cruz, linear champion.

UFC Fight Night 29 takes place on October 9th and is confirmed for Brazil. The likely location is the Ginásio Poliesportivo José Corrêa, in Barueri, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
