The recently speculated fight between Lyoto Machida e Vitor belfort it can be part of one of Ultimate's most important events in recent years: the organization's 20th anniversary celebration. According to journalist Ariel Helwani, during “UFC Tonight” this Tuesday (13), the intention is for the Brazilians to face each other in the co-main fight of UFC 167, on November 17th.

Previously, the information was that the confrontation could be the main fight of the Ultimate edition in Goiânia (GO), on November 9th. UFC 167's main fight is a welterweight title fight between Canadian Georges St Pierre and the North American John hendricks. The event takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).

Still according to Helwani during the organization's official newspaper, the scheduling of the fight faces two problems: the fact that Lyoto Machida never having played as a middleweight, although I have expressed this desire a few times, and the reluctance to Vitor belfort to act as a middleweight unless the fight is valid for the title – which has already made him refuse the duel against Tim Kennedy.
