Poatan does not appear in the top 15 middleweights; Marreta and Marlon plummet in the rankings after defeats at UFC Vegas 50

Even with victory in the battle against Bruno Blindado, Alex Poatán was not included in the top 15 middleweights (up to 83,9kg.). In the weekly update, released on Ultimate's official website, the athlete remains absent from the elite list of the group led by Israel adesanya. Defeated in UFC Las Vegas 50, Thiago Marreta e Marlon moraes ended up falling in their respective categories.

There was expectation to know whether the triumph over Blindado would boost Poatan in the division whose champion is Adesanya, a victim of the Glory legend in his kickboxing days. Despite going through his biggest challenge in MMA to date, Alex remains outside the list of the 15 best placed in the group.

Former challenger for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.), Thiago Marreta left the top 5 of the division after his stumble against Magomed Ankalayev last weekend. With the defeat, the athlete from Cidade de Deus (RJ) is now in sixth place, while his rival jumped two 'houses', reaching fourth place.

The most drastic situation belongs to Marlon moraes. A standout among the UFC's bantamweights (up to 61,2 kg.) for years, the former WSOF champion suffered yet another setback in the organization and is no longer in the top 10 of the division. Knocked out by song yadong on Saturday (12), the Brazilian fell to 14th and remains in a complicated situation in the company. Responsible for expanding Friburgo's bad moment, the Chinese player is now in ninth.
