Bellator welterweight champion (up to 77 kg), Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov was one of several fighters who chose to take up arms and help defend their country against the Russian invasion. Last Sunday (13), the fighter, undefeated in professional MMA, appeared on social media to update his followers about the current situation.

In the video published by Amosov on his official Instagram profile, it is possible to hear the sound of gunshots and bombs as the champion shows a house supposedly bombed during an attack.
"Greetings everyone. I would like to say, in fact I would like to repeat, that many people have talked about this special operation. You are not saving us. We are defending ourselves. Russian troops came to our territory and they talk about saving us? It's very interesting to me, who did you save in this house? And that's just a fraction. They attack orphanages and normal homes. They shoot civilians. Terrible things are happening. I don't understand these people who don't believe in what is happening in our country. They watch TV and think everything is fine here. They believe that you (Russian people) are saving us. You are not saving us. I don't know how the people of Ukraine will forgive Russia for what they did to our country. And this is not even the end,” Amosov said.
According to UN information, around 600 civilians have been killed since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24. More than 900 missiles were launched by Russian forces, hitting several areas with civilians, including recently a maternity hospital.
“Many people are dying. I don't know how you can tell someone who lives in Ukraine what happens here. I see it with my own eyes, I can hear it – well, I'm sure you can hear it. Our country will defend itself, our country will win. Our people are united and our country is the best country in the world”, assured Amosov.
