On the eve of the duel between Mauritius Shogun e Chael Sonnen, who face each other this Saturday (17), the light heavyweight Rogério Minotouro gave his opinion on the main fight of UFC Fight Night 26. Minotouro, who was scheduled to face Shogun and was eventually replaced by Sonnen, ruled out a confrontation against the North American and reiterated his desire for a rematch against his compatriot.

“Sonnen can take Shogun down a couple of times, but he can't do that during five rounds. At some point he will have to fight on his feet and then the Shogun hits him. I believe Shogun will win by knockout. Now, a fight against Sonnen doesn't interest me, because I want to fight the best, like Shogun, Dan Henderson e Rashad evans, and he only knows how to do personal marketing”, said brother Nogueira to the “MMA Fighting” website.

If they face each other again, Mauritius Shogun e Rogério Minotouro will re-edit a historic PRIDE fight. In 2005, in the quarterfinals of the middleweight GP of the extinct organization, Shogun beat his compatriot by unanimous decision of the judges, in the fight voted “fight of the year”.

I think Minotouro would be a good option to face John Jones. With his boxing he would give the champion a headache. But as he's not good at marketing they won't do that fight.
