After the surprising performance against Frankie Edgar, at UFC 162, the Brazilian Charles of the Bronx You already know who your next opponent will be. The featherweight will face American Estevan Payan in October, at UFC 166.
The fight was made official by the UFC after it was initially reported by The Houston Chronicle. Do Bronx will have the opportunity to reverse his negative series of two defeats – he was knocked out by Cub swanson before losing to Edgar – after achieving two triumphs at featherweight, in victories over Eric Wisely and Jonathan Brookins. Payan debuted in the UFC, defeated by Jeremy Stephens. Charles' opponent fought in Strikeforce before the organization's dissolution.
UFC 166 will be held on October 19th in Houston, Texas. The event will be led by the third heavyweight title fight between the current champion Cain Velazquez and the previous owner of the belt, the Brazilian Junior Gypsy.
