After beating Blindado, Alex Poatan challenges Cannonier to get closer to Adesanya

Featured at UFC Las Vegas 50, Brazilian 'asks high', but explains that commitment would make sense for his continuation in the company

After overcoming Bruno Blindado in the long-awaited meeting between Brazilians in UFC Las Vegas 50, Alex Poatán aimed high at middleweight (up to 83,9kg.). Promise of the division led by Israel adesanya, the kickboxing legend asked for Jared Cannonier as the company's next opponent. In a press conference after the event this Saturday (12), the Tupiniquim guaranteed that they are not rushing with the challenge.

“I had talked about (facing) Cannonier. He's close to a title shot. Some people are talking about Israel adesanya (as next opponent). Why not Cannonier? I don’t think I’m talking nonsense”, explained the Brazilian.
