THE FIGHT

PUBLICITY:

The two athletes started the fight with a lot of study and very little action in the first minute. Anglickas attempted the takedown, but Phil rejected the attack. Davis hit a high kick, but it stopped in his rival's guard. Phil tried a high kick and Anglickas responded with a cross from the guard. Davis fakes a blow and goes down, Anglickas is reluctant but can't stay on his feet. Phil was on top looking for a submission attempt and using elbows. The American ended the round with a failed armbar attempt.

The second half started with the same 'indefiniteness' as the initial round. The two athletes started to use kicks to try to undermine their rival's base. Phil landed a low kick, followed by a clean right to the Lithuanian's face. Anglickas responded with another direct. Davis takes Anglickas down again and just like in the first round, he falls on top easily. In half guard, the North American tries to catch his rival's arm, with an eye on a submission. Davis continued using elbows to his opponent's ribs and face. Phil tried a new transition to catch the Lithuanian's arm, who again resisted but was unable to get out of the bottom until the bell sounded.

PUBLICITY:

Anglickas begins the final stage trying to pressure Davis, who circulates around the octagon to try to calm the confrontation. Without ceremony, Phil takes down his opponent once again and returns to dominate the fight in the grappling fight. With Anglickas in the fetal position, Phil tries to get an armbar again, but the Lithuanian resists, despite the elbows that the North American applies as a 'bonus'. Anglickas tries to escape, leaves his neck exposed and almost gets submitted. Phil manages to catch Julius' arm but the Lithuanian bravely resists the submission attempt. The two athletes remain standing, but for just a few seconds. Anglickas gets up and tries to escape Davis' grip, but the American, with his excellent wrestling, doesn't let the Lithuanian escape. The round and the fight end with another takedown from Phil.
