This Wednesday (7), the Ultimate organization announced a last-minute signing to complete the UFC card in Combate 3. After the cut of Sam Sicilia of the event in BH, for an undisclosed reason, the featherweight champion of Jungle Fight Edimilson “Kevin” Souza was called up to face Felipe “Sertanejo” Arantes on September 4th.
Kevin, 28 years old, has a record of 13 wins and just three losses. The Bahian won the featherweight belt after beating Fabiano Soldado in the Jungle Fight 51, or Jungle by Arnold, in April. Already Felipe Sertanejo, 25 years old, has a record of 15 wins, five losses, one draw, two fights without result. The São Paulo native comes from a victory over Geoffrey Pepey at TUF Brasil 2 Finale, in June.
UFC no Combate 3 takes place on September 4th, at Ginásio do Mineirinho, in Belo Horizonte (MG). In the main fight of the night, the Brazilian Glover Teixeira faces the North American Ryan bader. In the co-main event, Ronaldo Jacare faces former middleweight title challenger Yushin Okami.
