Living his best phase since arriving in Ultimate, Tai tuivasa made it clear who he wants to face in his next engagement in the Octagon. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the Australian asked for a duel against the former champion Stipe Miocic, whom he called the 'best heavyweight of all time'.

“I just think that’s the fight. He's ahead of me (in the rankings), right? I think he's the one I'd like to fight. They asked me who I would like to fight and I think it's Stipe, because he's close to me in the rankings, he's older and I don't think he'll have much more time in his career. I would like to fight him before he retires,” said Tuivasa.
Even proposing the challenge to the former champion, 'Bam Bam' praised his possible rival and called him the 'best heavyweight of all time'.
“He's the best heavyweight in the world, I don't see why not... I think [Ciryl] Gane and the rest of the boys are a little close, but I'll be seeing them for a long time and I think Stipe Miocic there probably aren't many fights left”, concluded 'Bam Bam'.
Number three in the heavyweight rankings, Tuivasa has been riding an incredible streak of five consecutive victories. Since his last defeat, to Sergey Spivak, in October 2019, the Australian hit in sequence: Stefan struve, Harry Hunsucker, Greg hardy, Augusto Sakai and Derrick Lewis. 'Bam Bam' has a record of 15 triumphs and three setbacks in professional MMA.
