Makhachev reveals plan to surpass Khabib's lightweight record and desire to become double UFC champion

Promise of the Ultimate lightweight, Islam makhachev has bold plans for his future in the organization. At a great moment in his career and close to a title fight in the under-70,3kg category, the Russian stated that he can try to surpass his mentor's mark, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and go further. The athlete talks about winning a second title with the company.

“I'm going to win the lightweight belt, defend it three or five times and, then, I'm going to move to welterweight (up to 77kg.)”, said Makhachev, in an interview with 'ESPN'.
