Confirmed for the UFC 273, which takes place on April 9, the fight between Gilbert Durinho e Khamzat Shimaev gained an important ingredient for its promotion. In addition to including two welterweight highlights (up to 77kg), the clash could confirm the next challenger for the division's belt. In a press conference after last Saturday's event (5), Ultimate's president, Dana White, indicated the possibility.

Former division challenger, Durinho will have the opportunity to try, again, to take the top of the group. In his first attempt, the Brazilian came close to knocking out the current title holder, Kamaru Usman, but ended up succumbing to the Nigerian's talent, being beaten in the fast lane in the third round.
