Former UFC champion and WWE legend Brock Lesnar closes the door on a possible return to MMA

North American says 'his time has passed' in mixed martial arts; he retired in 2016

The retirement process affects an athlete's mind, who may go back after a period of inactivity. However, with Brock Lesnar, everything is different. Retired since 2016, the American – who is also one of the biggest names in WWE – has closed the door on a return to mixed martial arts.

“That door is closed. You know what, Dana White, the Fertitta brothers [Lorenzo and Frank] were exceptional to me. “I am very old. This is a young man's sport, and that door is closed. I am Brock Lesnar, the WWE Superstar,” Lesnar told 'The New York Post'.

The last time that Brock Lesnar was seen in MMA in 2016, when he faced Mark Hunt. On that occasion, the former heavyweight champion won a unanimous decision from the judges, but the result turned into a 'no contest' (fight with no result), after the North American failed to test for doping.

His MMA record is five wins and three losses and his most memorable moments were the triumphs over Randy Couture and Shane carwin, in addition to the rivalry with Frank mir.
