Cormier: 'Jon Jones looks like a 16-year-old girl'

In addition to mocking the light heavyweight champion, the heavyweight also took the opportunity to reinforce confidence in his game

Among the candidates for the next opponent of Jon Jones, if he wins at UFC 165, the name of Daniel Cormier grow up. After hearing the light heavyweight champion criticize him, the heavyweight retorted.

In an interview with FUEL TV channel after UFC Rio 4, Cormier mocked Jones' statements, who said that Daniel “has a short wingspan, poor physical conditioning and that he fought terribly” in his UFC debut, when he won Frank mir last April. The Strikeforce heavyweight tournament champion said that Jones is immature and took the opportunity to reinforce confidence in his game.

PUBLICITY:

“When I heard what he said, it sounded like (Jones) was a 16-year-old girl,” Cormier said. “Jon Jones, grow up, friend. We will fight regardless of how you feel. And when we fight and I advance on you, you better pull guard because I'm going to take you down.”

Before thinking about Cormier, Jones needs to win his next commitment. He faces the Swedish challenger Alexander Gustafson, in the main fight of UFC 165, in September. The event's co-main fight will be a dispute for the interim bantamweight belt between the champion Renan Barao and the challenger Eddie Wineland.

PUBLICITY:

On the other hand, Cormier is equally busy. In the month after the Jones fight, Daniel will face Roy Nelson in the co-main duel of UFC 166, which will be led by the trilogy between Cain Velazquez e Junior Gypsy, winning the former's heavyweight belt.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!

Cormier must be traveling! First he'll take a beating in the heavyweight category, with the chubby Roy Nelson (who's good at fighting). And if I go down to light heavyweight, it’s wow.
